Day 262

Imos. St. Louis Style Pizza. The Square Beyond Compare. This is our pizza!!! To outsiders, it's a little odd. They cut the pieces into squares (you can kinda see where the pieces have been). This is the "THICK" crust version & you can tell, it's not that thick. The regular pizza is essentially pizza topping on a saltine! It's THIN. It's an acquired taste, I will admit. We had it the first time on our honeymoon & did NOT like it. Somewhere along the line, we tried it again & now it's our favorite pizza!

Day 230

I sat in the car for a few minutes while the report I was listening to on the radio was over. As I sat there, I noticed this tree that is in my backyard neighbors back yard. I've never notice that it tilts. I wonder if it's safe?? A few years ago, some of these OLD trees in back of our houses were knocked over in a bad storm. Knocked down power lines & we were without electricity for 4 days! I hope if this one goes, it doesn't do any damage.

Day 199

While walking thru the neighborhood tonite, I passed the house that my uncle has used as his office (my uncle owns the construction company that built most of the neighborhood). He has these HUGE hibiscus blooms and my hibiscus has NOTHING!! These things are bigger than my hand! Really pretty. I did check my plant and I have about 9 buds. Lets see what blooms......

Day 170

Today was the day we went back to StL. I HATE the day that vacation ends! At least I will get to sleep in my own bed tonite!! Mom & dad had planned to come up to Stl this weekend too. We didn't drive together (dad drives too slow & Scott too fast) but we kept in touch on the way home.
We stopped at Taco Bell (ick!) and they stopped at Subway. We stopped for gas in Sullivan, they didn't stop until Florissant (we called to tell them gas was nearly $.20 a gallon cheaper in MO). We got home and I decided I was NOT going to cook!! We ordered pizza from Dominos. Dad, Becca & I went to pick it up . As soon as we got in the car, a HUGE rainstorm started!!! Buckets for rain, lightening, hail, the whole ball of wax!! Scary. Can you believe it ended before we got back home with the pizza???
After dinner, we played Oh Pooh Pooh (the original name is NOT family friendly) and Uno with the parents. Fun!

Day 139

The greatest joy of the front-load washer? No agitator to ruin the crocs. So I washed just about all our crocs at once (ok, mostly it was mine & Nicks, Becca had one pair & Scott had one pair).

day 109

Sunday morning breakfast means one of two things: Donuts from Sunshine Bakery or Waffles from Suzi's Kitchen. Scott doesn't like any other breakfast food (he claims to like cream of wheat but he's never eaten in since I've known him!) So, if there is bacon in the house, I make waffles. I used to have a round waffle iron but it broke. The only other one I could find was square. Why do they make square waffle irons when the corners never get cooked. So I make round waffles in a square iron. (I think I just never fill the iron enough so it only makes the circle but I say it's 'cause I'm talented!!)

Day 78

March Madness!! Even tho I no longer work at the school, I was informed that I was still responsible for doing everyone's brackets. It should have been really easy this year; CBS had a website where you just click your teams and they will automatically update it. Unfortunately, no one wanted to deal with the website. So, I had to enter everyone's info. Next year, EVERYONE will do it this way! They send email alerts & keep all the records. But, I do find the whole process fun!

Day 50

Lookie!!! A post ON TIME!!! Will wonders never cease?

My kids go to school in South Roxana IL. I never thought much about it growing up but I'm guessing not everyone had a bunch of refineries in thier back yard. The smell is not the most pleasant in the world. You'd think we'd have lower gas prices, huh?

Day 19 (for real this time)

On MLK, my Florissant girl friends got together & invited me! Woohoo! Stamping on a Monday. So I pack all my stuff but, when I got there, I worked on a project they had done & wanted to replicate. We had such a good time. Marge showed up a bit late as she had to take her hubby for a minor medical procedure. We always have so much fun when we get together. I wish I lived closer to them so I could get together more often!

Day 19

Ok, this is really bad: I took my pics today, I crafted today. Both the pics (ok, the camera) and the project are upstairs & I'm too lazy to go get them. I'm seriously thinking of packing it in & going to bed at 9:16pm!!

So, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm posting this drivel. Tomorrow, early, before anyone (at least anyone in the US) is up, I'll edit this post with the pics & the "real" blog entry. The date & time will show tonite & no one will be the wiser. Unless someone is up late & actually READS my blog.

Until tomorrow then.....
