Day 273

Today is my birthday. Scott is out of town so we're not going to "celebrate" until the weekend. Scott told me I could open my presents but I thought it better to wait (although that big box is my Ott Lite & I want it NOW!!!!)

Being alone all day, I decided no housework, no laundry, only crafting! Well, I did finish the last 1/3 of a set of ATCs and came up w/a plan for Sherri's C'mas CJ but not much else. The kids & I went to DQ for dinner & then to Walmart for groceries. Not a bad day and I have 2 more "celebrations" to follow.

Day 244

Favorite Movie Character day at school today. (This week is Spirit Week as the VB Tournament is this weekend!) You might have an idea about who Becca is supposed to be (the light saber ought to give it away). Nick, on the other hand, I'm sure you'll have no idea. That's ok; about 75% of the school went as "random movie extra" just so they could wear jeans. Give up?? Nick's the main character from Jumper. Now it all makes sense, doesn't it??

Day 212

Ok, so we had a leak yesterday. Mr. Plumber man said all would be fine as he turned off the water to the sink so there was no way it would leak. Well, the problem is that the pipe apparently vents to the roof. So, if it rains, it might leak again. Well it started raining at noon. Didn't start leaking until about 2 or 3.

Sometimes it would leak from the pipe (as seen yesterday) or sometimes it would leak onto the light fixture and then run all the way across the light (and INTO the light). Since we are going to be gone all next week, we decided we had to insure the rug didn't get ruined. We put plastic drop clothes down & then put towels to hopefully absorb the gook.

Day 182

Happy Canada DAY!!!!

A couple of years ago, we went to Canada in late June. We had a total BLAST!!! And, we visited an Old Navy and bought us all Canada Day T's. This is mine. LOL I can't wait to go back to Canada some day. I lost ALL MY pics of Cincinnati, Toronto (including the CN Tower) and Niagara Falls when my computer crashed. That's when I bought my first External Hard Drive.

Day 152

Get ready to be SICK of pool pics! I love to take pics at the pool! I have a waterproof case for my camera and I use it every chance I get!

Today it was hot enough for ME to actually get in the pool. It was cold and I never went underwater. I have no idea how I got this pic but it's dang cool (in my opinion!) Nick, underwater. He may have been blowing bubbles. My new favorite (until tomorrow??)

Day 60

Guess what's for dinner tonite?? When Scott & I first started dating, I LOVED this meal. We rarely made tacos at home (my dad didn't like them) so it was new. Now, I'm so sick of tacos I HATE to make them. The kids still love them. But not the rice. If we have Tacos when Scott's home, we have the rice, otherwise, I don't make it: I don't like it, Becca doesn't like it and Nick doesn't like it. Although, tonite, I gave the kids the choice of beans or rice & Nick chose rice. Tomorrow: Pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac & cheese, green beans and Stove Top. I'm tired already!

Isn't Jan 1 the GREATEST!!!

It's so easy to keep your resolutions!! Here's a photo & a post. Woohoo!

Today was a nice quiet day. Scott & I are both sick but we did manage to make it to midnight last night. The kids watched the fireworks, I went to bed, Scott filled the humidifier to have in our room. I don't think an humidifier does much good but a) he likes it & 2) it drowns out a little bit of his snoring.

Got up, got a shower (something you take for granted on a "normal" day but since I've been sick, it's been a every 3rd day luxury!), worked on some ATCs (pics tomorrow maybe?).

Last year, on NYD, we went to see Night at the Museum. The kids have decided that it's a tradition now. Well, what's playing? Benjamin Button, nah. Valkyrie, Scott wants to see this but, come on, the kids are 12 & 14. Plus, I know how it ends! Nah! Marley & Me, fine by me but dd REFUSES to see it. I guess that leaves Bedtime Stories.

Why is this boy such a goof?? Oh yeah, I'm his Mom!

Not a huge Adam Sandler fan but it was a fine show & a good way to spend an cold afternoon! Before the opening credits both kids had a tiny bout of Montezuma's revenge & ran to the b/r. Nick actually missed the first few minutes of the show. But, they both bounced back & refused to eat anymore popcorn. More for me & Scott, right?? No, I kicked the dang thing over about 10 minutes into the movie. When will they make theaters for us plus-size movie goers?? I know my tushie is big but please give me enough room for my feet & the bath-tub size of popcorn (ah, now I know how my tushie got big!!)

Home again, left over Imo's pizza for dinner (YUM!!), watched a little tv, worked a little more on ATCs (don't you LOVE Changito!! Isn't he/she just perfect for paper piecing??)

Now, it's 9:30 & time to get the kids back into the school day bedtimes. I guess Nick's gonna get to stay up until 10 now like Becs. He was going at 9:30 but, since they both get up at the same time & leave at the same time (and Nick's almost always ready to go when we leave, unlike someone else who doesn't usually have shoes on, contacts in, hair combed, bed made, pretty much NOTHING done!), I guess it's only fair.
