Day 353

We got a dusting of snow yesterday. I figured it would all be melted by 10am. Instead, it stayed all day as the temps didn't rise much and the sun never came out. It's still here this morning & it's flurried off and on all morning. We're supposed to get more next week!! Yea!! WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!

Day 292

This is a house I drive by daily on my way to pick up the kids. I don't know how I got this shot. I was just taking random shots thru the sunroof. I like it. I don't like the fence tho, it's covered in moldy, mossy stuff.

Another random shot here. I know it's totally out of focus but I thought it was funny. Looks like my Cubbie antennae ball is looking at the speed limit. Yes, I know I've got a twisted sense of humor & NO ONE else will find anything funny about it.

Day 263

Fall in the neighborhood! I love this display and would love to do something like it but I don't think mine would look like this. This is so casual and PERFECT!!!

Day 231

These are Scott's TWO tomato plants. They look like a tomato forest! Why? In the beginning, I pulled off what I thought were "suckers". Maybe I didn't pull off enough. Everyone else's tomatoes don't seem this bushy. Am I doing something wrong?

Day 200

Last Wednesday, the kids were supposed to have a library event at the park. It RAINED BUCKETS and the event was cancelled and rescheduled for today. Both kids were gone for 5 hours AND Scott was actually doing an audit out of the office (house). I was alone for 5 hours in my own house. It was nice (didn't do anything spectacular but it was nice that it was so quite).
The kids had a blast at the event. There were games and a rock climbing wall. Both kids won prizes; Nick won baseball tickets (for the Cardinals, ick) and a t-shirt. Becca won 2 books & a gift card for a movie theater. The weather was PERFECT, nice & cool. In July!!

Day 171

Since my parents are here, we moved the cat upstairs (he'd curl up in bed with them, given the chance, and I don't think my allergic mom would appreciate that!) So, his nice comfy bed is right there and where does he sleep??? Doesn't it look like he'd KILL me given half a chance???

Day 140

Well, obviously, after the washing of the crocs, there is the drying of the crocs. It looks like they're trying to escape!

Day 79

I'm DYING!! I somehow got an infected tooth. Oooo, eee, owwww, pain, misery!!! I am taking antibiotics, muscle relaxers, pain pills plus over the counter meds TRYING to feel better. IT'S NOT WORKING!!! I keep asking Scott to take me out in the driveway & run me over with the car. Praying for the sweet release of death!! Why does stuff like this always happen on the weekends???

Day 51

COLD has moved back into the area. The car was pretty frosted this morning (since I'm out of work, I've been taking the car to drive the kids to school. Saves a tiny bit on gas & I'm trying to save every penny until I know where my life is heading!) Scott went to pull the van out of the garage (a intricate dance if you try to keep the cat from running OUT of the garage) and he scrapped my windows for me. But, he didn't scrape the sunroof (as if I would have if I had scrapped the car. LOL). This is the veiw from the inside of the car out the sunroof. PRETTY!

Day 20

For Inaguration Day, all the teachers were allowed to take their classes into the gym or library and let the kids watch the ceremonies. For us, this meant we needed a portable lunch that the kids could take w/them tot he gym or library. So, what's more portable than CORNDOGS!! We packed them into their sleeves (not shown) and put an apple, carrot sticks, Teddy grahams and milk into a paper bag & off they went. Apparently, one of the classes either didn't stay long or couldn't find space 'cause they came back & ate their lunches in the cafeteria.
