Day 355

Last basketball game of the year (not the season, more games in Jan & Feb) so no time for dinner tonite. Got home & popped us a big bunch of popcorn to munch on while watching TV. I LOVE LOVE LOVE popcorn!!!

Day 294

The kids went to their pediatrician today for flu shots. Usually, they get the flu mist but they were out of the mist. The kids had to get real "shots"!!! They were not happy. (If you described them as acting like 2yo babies, you wouldn't have been far off!) They tried to convince me that, since they had been so brutalized, I should not make them go back to school. I said no. They said that at the very least, they should get ice cream from Sonic. Well, that means I could get a Diet Coke so, I agreed. Jr. Candy Sundaes for them, Route 44 Diet Coke for me. They went back to school a little happier.

The view out of my sunroof today. I can't decide if the orientation is correct or not. I think it is that's why I didn't change it!

Day 202

There are certain DISADVANTAGES to having your library in a mall. Went last night to drop of some books & ended up buying new shoes for BOTH kids. Well, they were a heck of a deal so, maybe it wasn't a bad thing. Funny how BOTH kids picked out a very similar shoe.

Day 173

Mom & Dad went home today. They stayed to go to lunch with Judy & then met w/my uncle afterwards (Uncle Bill had a stroke a couple of years ago. His health waxes and wanes. Every time they come up, they want to make sure the make time to visit with him!)

Since they were gone & not using the downstairs tub, we decided it was time to bathe the cat! We did bathe Mandy about once year. Jack seems to need it more often! He doesn't seem to be as fastidious (boy cat issue??) He was not pleased but he feels so much softer & cleaner now!!! Plus, I'm sure it helped get rid of some of that HOT HOT fur!!

Day 142

Spaghetti. Scott's favorite dinner. Since he's been out of town & eating out all week (awww, poor baby!) I decided I'd make his favorite for dinner. He says he could eat this 7 days a week. Once a week (a month?) is too much for me. BLUCK!!

My bags are all packed, I'm just waiting for cheryl to get here. She's gonna spend the night & then we'll get up and head for Indiana!! Scott, being the nice guy he is, suggested instead of cooking or even fend for self (which would require someone to clean up after) we'd just do the fast food thing. Of course, I'll be eating fast food for the next four days but, that's ok!! LOL

Day 112

Scott's been on vacation all this week. Since Cheryl from the Shack is staying here tonite, Scott decided to use today to clean Nick's room so she won't have to stay in squallor. Then, he vacuumed the whole upstairs, did the dusting & mirrors. Gotta love a man who cleans!!!

Day 81

Our new Library opened this weekend. It's pretty awesome. And HUGE!! We were the first one in the state to have a library in a mall & the 2nd one in the country. It's way cool! I can run to Macy's for something & pick up books (tapes, DVDs, CDs, etc) while I'm there. It's so awesome!

Day 53

Don't it just figure??? We turned the van over to 100,000 miles today. I took a pic before we left home & was going to take a pic of 99,999 & 100,000. But, in the mean time, my kids took about 50 pics, just goofing off. When I got my camera back, at 99,997, the battery was DEAD!!! I took the pic w/my phone but I have to buy a micro SD card to get them out. I wanted to actually do a s/b page on this. And I bought a cute Changito stamp to go w/it. Oh well. Best laid plans. And, the car is ready in the next couple months.

Day 22

(What am I going to do when February hits & I won't be able to easily figure what day it is????)

Last night the kids had sports pictures taken after school. This is the first time that both kids have been involved in a sport at the same time. This is good & bad. I spend ALOT of time waiting around for practices and driving to home & away games. But, I digress.

Since I had no idea what time we would be done w/school, I talked Scott into eating out. We went to Jack in the Box. I LOVE JitB. Yummy burgers & tacos, so-so fries. Until a few years ago, I didn't realize that they were not a national chain. I'd seen them in the StL area and I'd seen them in California so, I assumed they were everywhere. They're not! Shame, they have terribly funny commercials & the cutest antennae balls. Hmmm, a pic idea for another day?

Oh yeah, my kids (and in the last few years, my hubby) are addicted to ketchup. Scott usually only eats it fast food resturants (the ketchup at home is cold, he likes his at room temperture). So we get ALOT of ketchup.
