Day 359

My MIL got me the snowman on the left. Of course, if Eveline has it, Aunt Jackie probably had it FIRST!!! We went to Aunt Jackie's the day after Christmas 'cause Roger & the girls were in town so we all wanted to get together. Nick spent most of his time in the kitchen as the only other boy there is 4. No one for him to talk to. I came in to get a shot of him & it looks like he's wearing the Top Hat!! At least it "goes" w/the omni-present red hoodie!!!

I'm going to take you on a tour of some of the houses that decorate for Halloween. Some of them, my kids have loved for years. This one is in Roxana. We've been enjoying it since Becca first started at Bethel. They used to do MORE decorating, if you can believe it. Last year, they had a giant spider on the roof. They used to decorate their backyard but since they put up a privacy fence, I don't know if they still do or not. The side yard is decorated too, complete w/a vampire looking dude looking out the side window.

Today's pic is from Nick. He saw the cardinal outside and grabbed my camera & too this pic. He has a lot to learn about taking distance(or close up for that matter) pics. Yes, this pic has the wrong watermark. But, I still like it & makes me happy :)

Day 177

LOOK!!! You may never see this again. In case you don't recognize it, it's a MAN, reading the INSTRUCTIONS!!!! My brother came over to fix my ceiling fan. He wasn't 100% sure if he was supposed to take the switch apart or not so he, wait for it, Read the instructions!! (No, you weren't supposed to take it apart) Took about 10 minutes to put the switch in and I really think I could have done it myself. But THANKS, Steve for helping me out!!!

Day 146

This is our "moat".

We have been having ALOT of rain lately. Apparently, we are he lowest point in the neighborhood. This "river" shocked my son when he looked out the window. I took pics for him (in the rain!) but this is NOTHING!! We have had such heavy rain that all of the yard to the top left (not in this pic) was a LAKE!!

Day 116

It's a sad day; I have to say goodbye to these wonderful people. SAP was just fabulous and I hate to go. I guess I have to go back to the real world :( Wait 'til next year!!

I volunteered at the kids' school on Thursday. Really hoping it turns into a job for the fall! This is a lovely picture of my junk & Becca's crap. I have a van, why does everything end up in the front seat??

Day 57

I GOT HIM!!! I've been trying to get pic of this cardinal all winter!! Everytime I move to get my camera or open the back door, he flies away. Well, I saw him when I got out of of the car today & he was still there when I grabbed my camera. When I got inside, I walked on the back deck, to see if he was there. He was. Isn't he pretty!!

Day 26

No big story for this. Jack dissappered for a bit last night & we didn't know where he'd gone. When we turned on the lights, this is what we found. Goofy cat!
