Another trip to Target today. Gotta check out what Halloween stuff is left and what new Christmas. Scott threw this spider at me & it stuck to the cart. He's kinda cute in an ugly sort of way (the spider, not Scott). No, I didn't buy him. I don't do "scary" Halloween, mostly "cute" Halloween.

Day 266

The disadvantage of not posting these things daily. I can't remember WHY I took this pic. I think just 'cause the clouds looked so cool. This is on the way to pick up the kids. The water tower is the turn off to Hartford and the route to South Roxana. Exciting info. I have to keep this kind of excitement up for another 100 days??

Day 235

Shopping at the local Wally world. Too much fun. Hmm, this appears to all be food (the TP isn't ours. LOL). For once, we got out for under $100. LOL

Day 234

We took Scott's mom out for dinner tonite. While walking her back into the house, I saw this little bloom INSIDE her holly bush. Good thing I took a pic 'cause as soon as she saw it there, she yanked it out & threw it away. Poor little daisy. (I THINK it's a daisy, too small to be a black-eyed Susan, I think).

Day 203

This picture didn't turn out quite like it looks in real life. Maybe, if you look closely at the top of the tree, you can see the leaves are changing!! After 5 days of 60-70 degree weather, I think the trees are confused! One of the local weathermen has gone out on a limb to say that he thinks summer is done. He doesn't think we'll hit 90 again for the year. That would be odd!! I hope he's right. If he is, I've wasted the $$$ paid for the pool this year but it's worth it to me!!

Day 174

To the pool today. OH SO HOT!!! OH SO BURNED!!! Becca took her friend Crystal with us. You'd think I could have gotten a nice shot of the girls together or of Nick trying to avoid the girls but having no one else to play with or, in retrospect, me putting on MORE sunscreen so I wouldn't be quite so crispy.

But, no. I got a shot of the ladder. With bubbles. I was trying to get some underwater shots of the girls but pretty much just ended up w/Crystal's tush! But, it is kinda cool so, there you go, pic of the day!

Day 143

Scott has tomatoes!!! He's quite happy. There are actually two tomatoes on this plant (one behind the other) and one on his 2nd plant. He's dying for fresh tomatoes. I don't think it's hot enough & these tomatoes will probably rot before they turn red. We'll see.

Day 113

8 hours in a car (I drive the whole way & don't fall asleep!! woohoo!) we make it to Pokagon State Park in Angola, IN and to the Potawatomi Inn. The inn is fabulous, like the on in Dirty Dancing but w/o Patrick Swayze! We have the cutest rooms and the grounds are FABULOUS!!! The crop room was the GREATEST!! Plenty of room for us all! And the goodies!! Chocolate & note pads & pencils & chocolate & placemats & bags & chocolate. YUMMM!!! And to put faces & personalities w/names!!! I have to say, I was totally overwhelmed and could not figure out who was who, even after they introduced themselves. But, it didn't take long before they were my best friends. This weekend's gonna ROCK!!

Day 82

I am w/o a hubcap. Isn't it UGLY. I'm waiting for a replacement but that's taking alot longer than I'm comfortable with. I feel like such a hoosier driving w/only 3 hubcaps. I try not to look at it.

Day 54

This is how I spent a good portion of my day: moving digital elements to more descriptive folder. I had previously downloaded a TON of free kits from 2Ps in the hopes of (finally) getting PhotoShop. Well, I wanted to use a brush the other day & could not find it anywhere. I have the elements arranged in complete folders; the whole kit together. So, I left that arrangement as is but I ADDED a color folder & each embellishment in it's own separate folder. That way, I can find the digital tag I want & I can also add the whole kit.

This is all if/when I ever figure the whole PSE thing out!!!

(BTW, after spending today doing this, I found an article in CK about how to organize your digital stuff. I guess I'll read that & see if I want to change the whole kit & caboodle)

Day 23 Late & it's Basketball, AGAIN!

Yesterday was a supremely bad day is oh so many ways!! I left for work at 7am, worked until 1:30, came home & took a 15 minute nap, drove to South Roxana to pick up the kids, drove them to Edwardsville (to run into Michael's for just a minute :), drove to Collinsville, found the school, drove to Culvers (yum!), drove back the the gym, waited, waited, waited, waited, finally someone else figured out the the gym was in the CHURCH, not the SCHOOL, watched the boys get creamed (which is good 'cause then Nick gets to play) in a gym that had NO ROOM FOR CHAIRS -- while sitting on the sidelines, our feet were "in bounds", drove back to Culvers for ice cream (w/my nephew), dropped Andy off, came home & pretty much fell asleep at 9:30. I do have pics of the game but, nothing that interesting. I guess I could post one of those & be done for the day. Hmmmm.
