Day 337

Oops, got the days backwards. Out of order!!

The city of Hartford decorates its streets for Christmas. This seems sooo old fashioned to me & makes me all warm & fuzzy. I love to drive thru the streets & just admire it all. Reminds me of being a kid when MORE towns did this kind of stuff.

Day 307

Update on the BCA tree. Almost all the leaves are gone. I guess it's next pic will be covered by snow?

Day 276

We needed some more Halloween lights. Scott doesn't like how only the orange lights show up. So, when we found purple LED lights at Target, we bought them (they were pricey but I don't think they are supposed ever burn out!) They are BRIGHT!! But, they are a nice touch to our outside Halloween decor!

Here's me being stupid, playing w/my camera. Cool!!!

Day 247

More Volleyball games. Becca playing against Christian Outreach. She played a little bit but not too much. We beat COS & Agape (barely) so we were in FIRST PLACE!!! We played one bracket game against COS and won. Tomorrow, is the Championship against Agape. Should be a TOUGH game!!!

Day 215

2/3 of the Hoxsie Kids

It just so happens that while we were in KC, Steve had a job (he also travels for his job) there too. He brought his wife & kids. And, Kevin had a few days off from work so he brought his wife & kids to KC & stayed in the same hotel the Steve did. Unfortunately, we are staying 30 miles away from where they were. We tried to get together yesterday but it didn't work.

But tonite, Kevin, Missy & the kids were at a flea market about 4 miles from our hotel. They finished up about the same time that Scott finished his work. We met up at Texas Roadhouse. It could not have been more perfect. The twins were occupied and calm the entire time. Becca & Marissa sat at a table with Nick & Matt while us adults and the twins sat at one right across from the kids. Everyone had a good time & we got to visit and eats TONS of good food (so much food that I brought my entire entree home w/me!) It was a very nice visit.

Day 185

Happy Fourth of July!
And Happy Birthday Mom!!!

The 4th is an odd holiday now. Since Mom & Dad moved to Southern MO, we rarely do anything special anymore. We don't seem to barbecue or even go see the fireworks. It's almost like just another day. Before, we always did something for mom's birthday and it was more of a celebration. Oh well, we'll come up with new traditions before too long.

Scott FINALLY got some 'maters from his plant. When I picked them (yes, I'm the only one taking care of HIS tomatoes!!!) it was too dark or I would have taken pics on the vine. But, when I put them in the window, the red of the tomatoes, the white of the wall and the blue of the blinds seemed inspired for my 4th of July pic. (Good thing since we did NOTHING else picture worthy today!)

Day 155

Facebook. Facebook Farm Town. Oh, how I wish I never knew this existed. Well, not really. I love being on FB, love knowing what my friends are up to. I love having an outlet for my random stupidness. And, there, it is embraced! But, Farm Town. I am TOTALLY addicted to it!! I can't stay away. I have to check my crops several times a day. I have to check my friend's farm (and woe be to those on FB who don't have a FARM, I send them invites!!) Total a waste of time. What EVER am I going to do when I go back to work full-part-time.

Day 124

This was the view out of my sunroof today. So cool!! It doesn't even look like clouds. I should have post it as an extreme close up, even tho it isn't!

Day 94

Now this is an interesting juxtaposition. Yesterday, we had Nick's stuffed animal. Today, we have Nick's new razor. How can you need to shave & still have a Steve?? Whatever you do, DON'T SHAVE STEVE!!!
Nick has a tiny bit of a mustache. It makes him uncomfortable so Scott decided it's time to learn to shave. Scott doesn't use a blade so he decided Nick needed to learn on an electric razor. I figure he'll use it once & probably won't need it again for almost a year. We'll see.
I guess I have to post some Becca themed pics since Nick's been in the spotlight for 2 days!

Day 63

The ceiling fan in our living room. I love the shadow it created. Random

Day 35

This picture kinda speaks for itself. FILTHY!!! It snowed here 8 days ago. I would wash it (and the van which is just as bad!) but there is still snow on the ground which means more melting (someday when it gets out of the single digits) and more ick. There is rain in the forecast in the next 5 days (the news was on in the background, I wasn't really paying attention) and we are supposed to get into the 50's?!?! From 9 on Tuesday to 50??? Really. What's wrong w/weather?

Day 4

All day yesterday was spent taking down the Christmas tree. Everything except 2.5 hours spent w/my older brother (Wayne) while he took apart my computer (literally!) to get a tiny media card out of it (I was the one who stuck it in, not one of the kids!)

Anyway, back to Christmas. I hate taking down the decoartions. Really, really HATE it!! The house is plain w/o them. I have trees in all the bedrooms, candles, garland & wall art in the bathrooms, things on the doors & bubbly, glittery nightlights in the kitchen & bathrooms. It is all so GONE when it's gone!!

So, today: the upstairs tree comes down and I clean out Nick's toy drawer. That boy wants to save EVERY Happy Meal toy that ever makes it into this house! I told him to do it but we'll have to wait & see what he actually REMOVES from the room. Then I'll go thru it again. After that, we'll make a run to Goodwill!
Back to my computer. My brother took the whole thing apart & still could not get to the card reader to remove the media card. So, after he left, I was messing around with it & got the card out!! Yea me! Unfortunately, all the messing w/the card reader messed it up so it still doesn't work. Oh well, back to the USB cable!
Eventually, I'll take pics of my ATCs!
